‘Queer’ Kennedy Center Worker Strips Naked to Protest Trump, They/Them Gets the Boot

A self-described “queer” contractor for the Kennedy Center in Washington has reportedly been fired after he stripped naked and filmed a protest video against President Donald Trump. As Redstate reported, Trump recently visited the site, which is heavily taxpayer-funded, to meet with the board. There he discussed changes, including renovating the venue.

That was a bridge too far for Tavis Forsyth, who uses “they/them” pronouns. Forsyth, who worked with children at the center as part of its educational department, decided to remove all his clothes and film himself ranting about the bad orange man. You know, as completely normal, sane people do. 

I’ll save you the visual because no one wants to see that, but here’s a bit of what he had to say. 

“Trump has taken over the Kennedy Center and that’s a place where I work,” said Forsyth at the beginning of the video, who had been sitting fully clothed on a bed. “He has vowed to ban drag performers from its stages, and as the saying goes, ‘We’re all born naked, and the rest is drag.'” Forsyth then snapped and the clothes Forsyth was wearing disappeared. Forsyth proceeded to sit on the bed naked with a rainbow heart-shaped digital censor over his genitalia, and questioned: “Should I quit the Kennedy Center?”

“Does staying make me a collaborator or somehow complicit in a hostile government takeover that’s systematically targeting the livelihood and liberty of poor people, queer people, black/brown people, people of color, immigrants, Muslims, victims of war-torn countries, and ethnic cleansing, women?” Forsyth asked before answering “yes.”

“But on the other hand, is staying holding the line and living to fight another day? Do I take up space and defend the vision for this institution that is diverse and inclusive, unlike Trump’s vision for America?” Forsyth pondered. “Do I stay to defend the beautiful people that come to visit? Do I covertly raise my nose at the regime, raise the peace sign high, and do everything in my power to preserve the values of cooperation, creative freedom, and transformative storytelling that I hold so dear?”

You’ll be less than surprised to learn that Forsyth is also a big supporter of the “Palestinian cause.” He released a video accusing Joe Biden of “genocide” back in 2024. In other words, this guy is crazy on multiple levels, and the fact that the Kennedy Center saw fit to hire him to work with children is disturbing. Anyone who would get naked to film a protest video should not be within a mile of kids. 

That he did this to cry about “drag shows” no longer being held at the Kennedy Center is even worse. That’s what set him off? Really? These people are truly mentally ill, of which Forsyth’s pronoun demands provide ample evidence. It’s not like Trump was trying to shut the center down. He wants to fix the facade, which was never finished to its original specifications due to budget issues. 

Should he even do that, though? Honestly, I’d prefer he not spend another taxpayer dime on the Kennedy Center, which simply exists to provide bread and circuses to the nation’s far-left elite. I understand the desire to fix up American cultural icons, but I think we’ve got bigger fish to fry right now. I will admit, though, that having Led Zeppelin perform there some years ago was pretty cool. 

Still, I’m left with the impression that maybe, just maybe government-funded institutions should be a little more discerning. Forsyth is just one of many less-than-stable people that has received taxpayer money over the years to allegedly push their cultural agenda.
