CBS is not moving forward with spinoffs of “The Equalizer” and “The Neighborhood,” Variety has confirmed.

The “Equalizer” spinoff was to star Titus Welliver and Juani Feliz, who appeared on the April 20 episode of the mothership series. Welliver played Hudson Reed, described as “a former top CIA operative with a dark secret who is connected to Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah) by an old mentor.” Feliz played Samantha Reed, who is said to be “trained by her father to be a weapons expert, skilled martial artist and true chameleon all while hiding a mysterious past.”

“The Neighborhood” spinoff would have seen Marcel Spears and Sheaun McKinney leave the long-running CBS comedy to continue on as Marty and Malcolm Butler as they move to Venice Beach.

“The Equalizer” remains in contention for a Season 6 pickup, while “The Neighborhood” was already renewed for an eighth and final season at the broadcaster.

In addition, the comedy pilot “Zarna” from comedian Zarna Garg will not be moving forward at CBS, while the comedy series “Poppa’s House” has been canceled after one season.

The news comes as CBS has already made several pickups for the 2025-2026 season. Earlier in the day, the broadcast network formally ordered a new entry in the “FBI” franchise starring Tom Ellis, while also picking up the drama pilot “Einstein” starring Matthew Gray Gubler and the comedy pilot “DMV” to series. CBS has also already ordered the “Fire Country” spinoff “Sheriff Country,” as well as the “Blue Bloods” spinoff “Boston Blue.”
