The first round of the 2025 NCAA Women’s Tournament gave us a little bit of everything and set the stage for some exciting second round matchups — including a 2024 Sweet 16 rematch between South Carolina and Indiana. The Round of 32 begins on Sunday and wraps up on Monday night.

The UCLA Bruins, led by Lauren Betts and Kiki Rice, come in as the top overall seed in March Madness, but their road to a title won’t be a cakewalk. The reigning champion South Carolina Gamecocks are looking to repeat, and JuJu Watkins leads a talented USC program. Texas rounds out the No. 1 seeds after tallying up 31 wins en route to the NCAA Tournament.

There are only two double-digit seeds remaining with (10) Oregon and (10) South Dakota State. However, this year there are a lot of dangerous teams who are serious contenders outside of the No. 1 seeds. Can anyone knock off one of the championship favorites before the Sweet 16 this year?

An interesting wrinkle to the women’s tournament as opposed to the men is that the highest seed in the four-team pods plays host for the first weekend. Then, two cities — Birmingham, Alabama, and Spokane, Washington — will host the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight before the remaining teams head to Florida for the Final Four and national championship game in Tampa.

Below is all the information you’ll need to keep up with the action. Be sure to check back in on this page as it will be updated with matchups and tip times over the next three weeks.
